To keep our results tidy with an easy to read, uniform look, we’ve put together a standard format for matches and segments. To make it a little easier on the staff to put together the results, we ask that you please try to use the following guidelines when writing your segments. We’ve kept it very simple and everyone should be able to do it with ProBoards’ editor.
– For dialogue use the character’s full name in bold, followed by a long dash in the color #7B219F. All dialogue will use the color code #CAF0FE, no individual colors please. The actual dialogue should not be in quotations.
– Actions and descriptions will remain the default board text. Please use present tense, e.g., “He runs to the ring and slides under the ropes,” as opposed to, “He ran down to the ring and slid under the ropes.”
– Everything will be left aligned.
Here is an example and how the coding would look:
Daniela Martinez — Thank you for your patronage of All Star Combat Entertainment. Please join me in welcoming our General Manager, Erik Hawke.
The capacity crowd of O’Maine Studios murmurs quietly as the lights dim. The tall, wild-bearded GM steps through the curtain to an enthusiastic reception of applause. Straightening his tie, Erik heads straight to the ring with a smile on his face. He climbs the steps and ducks between the ropes where Daniela Martinez hands over her microphone.
Erik Hawke — Good evening everyone! Thank you to coming to the very first show of ASCENT.
Just copy the code from below, change the names and dialogue as necessary, and voila! Couldn’t be easier.
