At the inaugural episode of Ascent, during the Date With Destiny Ladder Match, Elina Cartel ended the match by opening the case which allowed her to lay claim to the Genesis Championship. Undoubtedly, she is still in shock and amazed by this honor bestowed upon her.
However, the Genesis Championship case was not the only one opened by Elina Cartel during the match. The first case Elina Cartel opened; third case overall, granted her the right to choose her opponent for the next show.
Elina Cartel’s camp has released the following message:
“The new Champion has not taken this choice lightly. She has considered each member of the roster with a specific focus on Lex Collins, Konstantine, and Scarlett Anthem. After some deliberation, Elina Cartel has chosen the ‘Golden Ticket’ winner, Scarlett Anthem, as her opponent for the next episode. She looks forward to facing Anthem one on one.”
This, undoubtedly has added a new wrinkle to the upcoming episode of Ascent, as the new Genesis Champion will collide with the ‘Golden Ticket’ holder, Scarlett Anthem.
